Dotty Spotty @ TGF

Down at The Greeting Farm they have a Dotty Spotty challenge. So here is my entry. Very merry indeed. LOL. I had to use this red embossed card that my lovely friend Sue sent to me and the card just evolved from there. Unfortunately with three kids at my feet I did rush it and I shouldn't have as the Gallery @ TGF is down ATM so I can't upload it. Damn. No matter. The white spots are supposed to look like snow flakes/drops but they didn't quite turn out the way I would have liked but it will have to do. Hope you like.

Pretty Packaging

Down at The Secret Crafters Saturday Challenge Blog the challenge this week is pretty packaging. I couldn't help myself and had to do a little box. I found this chocolate box template at Kirsten's blog. Wow she makes the most brilliant creations. I altered mine to be 14x10cms instead of 14x8cms. I wanted a little bit bigger to fit some small greeting cards too. I haven't made those yet. Maybe a project for next week.

Fairy Grin

I had lots of fun with making this card. What a wonderful sketch from Sketch Saturday and I combined it with Stampin' for the Weekend with a theme/challenge this week of a 'Pocket Full of...' - so I put some pockets on the inside to hold stamped images. Thought it was a clever theme as you could do almost anything. I really loved coloring these images - the 'grin' sentiment is an Autumn Leaves stamp (don't know specific name as it was stamped by a friend). Of course there is my little TGF Fairy Chloe - who I love. Hope you like.

A new challenge blog is born

DELICIOUS DIVA CHALLENGES

As the title says there is going to be a new challenge blog in town on the 4th of August. It sounds like a long time away but it isn't really. Only a month. This is a sketch and colour challenge blog - running every fortnight - one fortnight will be a sketch and the next is a colour challenge.

At the moment there is a guest DT call so go take a look and if you are interested give it a go. The blog is still currently under construction and will look super I am sure as soon as it is up and running.

The very talented Kellie Winnell and Kristy Young will be running the challenges. You may know Kellie as the owner of Kellie's Magnolia Down Under and of course, Kristy - her siamese twin (they are joined at the hip). LOL.

For one lucky follower there is a super yummy candy for the first week. Go check it out - become a follower and join in the fun as of the 4th of August.

This week at Just Magnolia wk 11 they have a great sketch by Bev. I love following sketches so this was a great one. I used up some of my BasicGrey papers and even did a little paper piecing which is a new thing for me - haven't done much of it but it looks great on a card - don't you think. Afternoon everyone - at least it is for me. Having a great day today. The sun is shining and the kids have been able to play outside lots today already. I hate it when it is wet so today is a brilliant day.

Don't you just love this little Pixie....???? I got her and 5 others from Charmed Cards and Crafts with lots of backgrounds and sentiments to go along with it. Gotta love digital. The Pixie and the sentiment circle are both from Pixie Chicks set 2. If you love digital then pop on over and buy them - I want to buy set 1 too. LOL. Okay - I made this card for Digital Tuesday challenge which is to use 'Scraps'. I have done just that. I have got lots and lots of left over paper from my K&Company Amy Butler papers so this fit in real good. The second challenge was for Dare You to Digi Stamp Friday Challenge which is the great sketch (see below).

Windows Mail issue

Okay I am having issues with Windows Mail. Everytime I get onto my email account it asks for my username and password - I have put in every password possible that I would use but it still asks me to put in. Anyone else had this problem in the past and if so how did you fix it. I cannot access any of my emails so if you send me something I will not be able to respond and hope that it is not important. My hubby reckons he will be able to fix when he gets home tonite. We will see.

Thanks a bunch

Well I was finally able to make a card for Mojo Monday. Woot woot. LOL. I was going to try and play along with the Verve sketch challenges but just didn't have enough time but I have the sketches and might use them later down the track if I need a sketch. I got a pressie in the mail from my new blogging friend Beth with lots of stamped images and this was one of them. I actually made this card to shoot Beth a thanks for the pressie. You are the best. Thank you thank you thank you.

I also need to thank Rowena, Kellie & Sammi for helping with the watermark on the photos. Big thanks though to Sammi who emailed me the instructions on how to do in Gimp. After doing it it is so easy - I don't know how I couldn't work out myself. Cheers.

Products: Whiff of Joy stamps; markers; MME DP; Bazzill card; SU Tangerine Tango ribbon; BasicGrey Lime Rickey buttons; Nesties; Corner rounder.

Stamp with Fun #12 - Sketch by Bea

This week over at Stamp with Fun they have a wonderful sketch by Bea. I thought this was a great idea doing the ovals and a sitting image. I had lots of fun with this one. I used my SU blender pen and inks once again to colour this image so the colours matched the DSP perfectly. Hope you like.

I got a nice little package in the mail today from Stampin' Up - I got a certificate of promotion - for making Senior Associate and a great little SU badge. Woot woot. Always nice to get recognition in writing. Thanks SU.

Products: Magnolia stamp; SU WW card; Memento ink; SU Fun & Fast Notes stamp; SU blender pen & Kiwi Kiss, Rose Red, Blush Blossom, Choc Chip inks; SU Pink piroquette & Rose Red card; SU Raspberry Tart DSP; SU On Board Batch of Blooms; Cuttlebug; Nesties; Dimensional Magic; 1/2" circle punch; Hole punch; SU Old Olive ribbon.

Upsy Daisy in depth

I got myself a brayer last week after seeing the beautiful creations that Michelle Zindorf has been doing. I must say that she is absolutely amazing at using the brayer and even teaches classes all over the US. Wish I lived there so I could go to one of her classes. Michelle is also fabulous at looking at a painting for inspiration and then putting it on 'paper' as a card. I really don't know how she does it - if you check out her blog you will see the amazing cards she makes.
The card below is from a tutorial that is on her blog. Everything on this card is Michelle. Not one idea is from myself. I had to try this out as it looked amazing - mine is nowhere near as good as hers. Perfect card for my Mum, Dad, MIL or Nanna.

All products are Stampin' Up: Upsy Daisy stamp set; WW, Tangarine Tango, Old Olive & So Saffron card; Old Olive, SS, TT, Real Red & Basic Black ink; Brayer; 1 1/4" circle punch; Clear embossing powder.

3D Fun

Back again. This week at Tilda and Friends ATC Challenge the theme is 3D Fun. This is my last ATC for T&F as Guest DT and would love to say that I had so much fun. I thank Caz and the other DT's for allowing me to play along as guest.
I used some scraps with this card but did do some paper piecing for the books. I have been playing around with my SU blender pens and my inks and am getting the hang of it but not so much the watercolouring. I just can't work out the Aqua painter. Anyway Tilda is mounted on Dimensional dots on top of the books that are also mounted on dimensional dots.

Sketch Saturday #56

Hello everyone. Another Wednesday. HUMP DAY. Hooray. I am hanging for the weekend already. LOL.

Another great sketch this week at Sketch Saturday #56. I had a lot of fun with this card as I was able to use my new C.C. Designs Swiss Pixie Heidi that I got from Bizzy Becs. I have her sister too so will be making another card sometime today with that stamp. Can't wait. LOL. Hope you like. I feel like I have lost a little Mojo again this last couple of days. Maybe that is why I spent so much time on the computer trying to personalize my blog last night instead of making cards. Oh well. It should be back soon - I hope. Have a 'Happy Hump Day'....!!!!!!!!!

Products: CC Designs Swiss Pixie Heidi stamp; SU Trendy Trees stamp (sentiment); Memento ink; markers; SU WW card; SU Tangarine Tango ink; Bazzill card; Imaginisce Mushroom Fancy DP; Kaiser rhinestones; Signo Gel white pen; Kindyglitz.

Watermark Signature help

I have decided that I need to start putting a watermark signature on my pictures but have no idea how. If there is anyone who knows how to do it in Gimp or can do one for me and then tell me how to use it I would be very grateful.

Also - does anyone know how to put the pretty signatures down the bottom of the posts and how to use a digital scrapbooking kit to make my own blog page. Hmmmmm so many things I want to do. It is definately time to personalize my blog.

Any help that you can give would be wonderful.
TIA
Please email me if you know - how or who can tell me to do all this.

Unlucky or not...???

Is the number 13 unlucky....???? I don't think so. It is my favourite number over 10 so I am hoping that it will be lucky for me this week. The Sugar Bowl challenge #13 is a fabulous sketch by Lillian. Conditions are that it has to be a Sugar Nellie stamp and you need to have Kraft card/paper on the card somewhere.

I have had this Sugar Nellie stamp called Carefree for a couple of weeks now and have been waiting to use it for the new Sugar Bowl challenge. You see I got this from my fabulous friend Rowena aka craftypagan as a birthday gift. I was thrilled when I got this in the mail and have been dying to use it.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge #16

Good morning everyone. Hope we are enjoying your Sunday so far. I am - got a nice big sleep in and I am off to my friends this afternoon for a 'casual' workshop.

This week at Kellie's Magnolia Down Under Challenge #16 it is a colour challenge, with a choice. You can do either…

* Pink, Brown and Cream/White
* Orange, Brown and Cream/White
* Blue, Brown and Cream/White.

As you can see I chose the Orange, Brown & Cream/white colour combination. I love this card. Wasn't too sure about it when I first made it as my Hubby said it looked very 'Retro 70's' but I do like it a lot now. Hope you like and get some inspiration for the challenge.

Please come along and play with us at Magnolia Down Under. It is now fortnightly so you have plenty of time to play along.

Products: Magnolia stamp; Memento ink; Markers; SU sentiment stamp (have to find the set and let you know - Oops); SU Chocolate Chip, Very Vanilla card; SU Apricot Appeal DSP (from Hostess set); SU Choc chip ribbon; Kaiser pearls; Making Memories Slice machine & Design Card 2; Dimensional dots; sewing machine.

Summer is here

To start off with the card. I combined the theme from Just Magnolia which is Summer with the sketch from Friday Sketchers. Another fabulous sketch this week. I used Tilda with lace skirt - which again was given to me by my friend Sue. Thanks again Sue.

I hope we are all enjoying our weekend so far. I certainly am. Getting myself organized for a 'Get together' tomorrow to demonstrate scrapbooking techniques at a good friends place. I hope it goes well and I get a few sales out of it. I am really only going over to catch up with my friend - it is her mothers birthday on tomorrow and just got into the scrapbooking so really hoping I can give her lots of ideas and spur her to buy lots of product. Of course, with the Hostess special this month she should hopefully get a nice present out of it all.

Hubby is busy making a chocolate butter cake - Yummo. Will save some for anyone who wants it. LOL. Although I don't think you would get much by the time my boys are finished eating. Hehehe. They would eat us out of house and home if we let them. They aren't even at school yet - God help me when they are teenagers. LOL.

Okay enough babbling from me.
Enjoy your weekend.
