WOYWDW & Spesch Candy

Woo hoo it is hump day. I am so busy organizing posts, clothes etc etc ready for us going away this weekend for my sisters wedding. This is messy for me. The clipboard in the front has a drawing that I spent 3hrs doing last night to enter the Burtonesque Dolls challenge. Hopefully I have it finished soon so I can post it. I wanted to show off my new watermark more than anything else. Of course I only got it yesterday from Whimsy Stamps. I might even get a couple more seeing it is such a reasonable price and I am not good at that. I have been working on some ATC's for the Mad for Markers swap so they are sitting in my tray and of course we have lots and lots of stamped images ready to do. I have to mention the Lil Lolita Lilith from Tickled Pink Stamps as they have some awesome new Fashionistas coming so pop on over to the blog for some great sneek peeks.

Over at the Spesch Stamps blog we have a Surprise Birthday Candy with all of these clear stamps to be won. Pop on over today if you want a chance to win as I will be drawing the candy tomorrow.

Spesch Preview Day 5

Good morning everyone. Hope we are all well. Here is the last preview from the Spesch Stamps Birthday release. This is 'Birthday Boy unwrapped'. Original name huh. Not....!!!!! I am no good at choosing names at all.

Tomorrow we will have a break at Spesch Stamps blog but will have a release on the 1st July of all the gorgeous Birthday stamps. Four of the five stamps are being released as clear stamps as well.

On a personal note. I got my blood tests results and it looks like I have extremely low iron and Vitamin D levels which could explain the headaches, lethargy and depression. Hoping that on a triple dose of Vit D in a few weeks these headaches will be gone. Stay tuned.

Enjoy your day everyone.

Spesch Preview Day 3

Oh my oh my. What a great lovely day it is here in Melbourne Australia.....!!!!! The heater has been fixed and the kids are playing happily. What more could I ask for....??? It may be really wet out there but at least there is a little sunshine at the moment. LOL.

Today is Preview Day 3 of the Spesch Stamps Birthday range by Max. I must admit that these are just super cute and I worked with them so long ago that I had almost forgot what my cards looked like. LOL. This photo is in my header - did you all notice....??? Hahaha no one did except a fellow DT. LOL. No need to feel bad. Bahahaha. She will be available as a clear stamp as well as digi.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

Something Sweet

Good morning everyone. What a lazy Sunday morning I am having...!!!! I just got out of bed and read a little of the newspaper - Kristen Stewart interview - and now sitting on my couch on the computer. I must say it is just a perfect morning. If only my kids would take it down an octave. LOL.

This week at Magnolia Down Under Challenges the challenge is 'Something Sweet'. I thought it was the perfect time to use 60's Tilda from the Yummy range and also the sentiment from the Summer 09 range. The DP from BasicGrey is perfect for this vintage cutie. Hope you get some inspiration from my card. Make sure you visit the MDUC blog for more inspiration from the DT.

This is Party Blower. She is so cute. You should see the rest of the release.
TGIF. Found out I had gastro and still not feeling the best but a lot better than the other day. I am busy trying to organize the family to go away next weekend for my sisters wedding. OMG it is just over a week away - ahhhhh....!!!! My big sister is finally going to get married and hopefully have some kiddies. I can't wait for both but especially the later as she is a nanny and she is so good with kids - she would make an excellent mother. Have a good one. See you tomorrow with another preview.

Sweet Pea has gone a little MAD lol

Good morning everyone. It is my Mad for Markers day today. I seem to use Sweet Pea stamps a lot for my M4M posts but they really are wonderful to colour with the Copics so I guess it is just natural for me. LOL.

I used Coral Immersion. She is wonderful right...!!!!??????
She is gorgeous I think. Hehehe. The DP is by Paper Inklings which is an Australian company. This one is called Enchanting Girl. It has the best colours. I have two other full sheets in the same line and colours. You will be seeing lots of it.

I made this card for the Sweet Pea Stampers challenge this week of 'Stitching : real or faux'.

WOYWDW

Morning everyone. Hope you are all well. Thought I would do a What's on your work desk Wednesday again today. I haven't got a card to post so thought I would cheat and do this post instead. LOL. Yes it is nice and neat as always. I can't stand not knowing where everything is. The image that is turned over is a secret but hoping you should like them as much as myself and the DT from Spesch. Have a great day.

Thought I would show you a photo of my DD who is 2.5yrs. She has a habit of falling asleep when eating potato chips so this is a photo of her falling asleep whilst eating French Fries potato chips. So cute but a pain as she tends to spill them.

I am not well today. Ahhhhh...!!!!! If it isn't the kids it is me. I had the worst stomach cramps last night (not female related) and I almost called an ambo to come get me it was that bad. I have taken some Buscapan and hoping that it will start working soon. It is just as bad as my labor pains. Gosh it really hurts.

Anyway. Have a great hump day everyone.

Sweet Pea Stampers Sketch

Evening ladies. Well thought I had better get in there tonight with the card I made for Sweet Pea Stampers. I loved this sketch and would have had up earlier except the flowers took forever to dry.

We had a plumber come and look at our central heating unit that has decided to pack it in. Grrrrrr....!!!!! So he comes and tells us that he has no idea why it is not working. We now have to get an electrician here to have a look as the Plumber reckons it may be electrical. So lots of phone calls tomorrow to see if someone will come and have a look at it. Hopefully they can find a solution as it is not yet the middle of Winter. Would hate to think we have to get the whole thing replaced. ahhhhhh....!!!!!!

Bee happy

Morning everyone. What a miserable weekend it has been here. Raining on and off. Not much else going on except our heater decided to stop working. At least today it isn't that cold. Hopefully it doesn't get that cold over the next couple of days until it is fixed.

My card was made with the sketch from Friday Sketchers using Spring Bee from Spesch Stamps. I haven't used this stamp yet (shock horror). I have been wanting too but haven't had the motivation but as soon as I saw the challenge at Dutch Date Card Challenges of 'Bee Happy' I had to use her. Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.

Watercolour success

Good morning everyone. Hope you are all well on this Saturday. I must admit it is a bit cold here in Melbourne Australia. Brrrrrr....!!!!! At least it doesn't snow here otherwise I wouldn't be able to adjust to the cold. I don't know how you ladies overseas do it when it snows so much. Your heating must be super good.

Anyway - my card. I have been trying to watercolour with not a lot of success but I have finally figured out what I had been doing wrong. I hadn't been wetting the paper before colouring which seemed to be the key. So here is my first watercoloured image. It isn't perfect but it still is good enough for a card. LOL.

I made this with the sketch from Cute Card Thursday and the Just Magnolia Challenge this week of 'In the Garden'.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Products: Magnolia stamp; MME DP; Ranger Distress Ink; SU ink; Martha Stewart punch; Aqua brush; paint brushes; Kaiser and Green Tara flowers; Delish pearl brad; Punch Bunch leaf punch.

Fairy Tales are real

Do you believe in Fairy Tales....??? I know I do. You have to believe in something fantastical and I reckon that is what keeps us going. I love reading a good book and must admit that I am obsessed with Twilight - but it is not just Vampires I love but also the Love Story. What does everyone else reckon....???? I know I just finished reading them all again and I cried and cried in the last book. The pain described by Bella about the possibility of losing her family was just so real LOL. How pathetic am I....!!!!!

Anyway LOL. Here is the card I made for Stamp with Fun -challenge of Myst/Fairy Tales. How appropriate considering the Fairy Tales range from Magnolia just came out. So in due course I made a Snow White inspired card. I coloured Miss Tilda in with Prismacolor pencils. It is the first full image I have coloured with the pencils. I cut out the front but unfortunately unless you put a weight on the front you can't see Tilda through the Vellum.

On to real life. All my kids are sick with the flu. They have all got an awful cough and Mr Tyler 5yrs is the worst, although the other two are starting to catch up. Poor things. I am not feeling the best but haven't got their cough so touch wood I won't get it. I hate the fuzzy feeling in the head from the flu. Yuck.

Colouring on shrink plastic

Good morning everyone. What a great great challenge we have going on at Mad for Markers....!!!! I must say that there are so many mediums that you could colour. I love the idea of air brushing your shoes to match your outfit and if I had found some white shoes that match my dress for my sisters wedding than I would have done it. LOL.

Today I am going to show you the result of colouring Shrink Plastic.
You will need for this:
- Clear Shrink Plastic
- Staz On ink
- Copic markers.

Most of you may know that you can not colour in an image when you use Staz On - it stains and eventually ruins your marker tips. That is why I have used Clear plastic.

First of all I stamped my image on the plastic with the ink. I flipped over the image and coloured it in on the reverse side. That way I can still see where I am colouring and not ruining my markers. That is pretty much it. Shrink your plastic with your heat tool after you have cut out your shape.

Coloured before I heated.

Front view after heated.

Back view after heated.

Copics used: E39, E00, B23, R27, Y18, B29, R22.

Dana & Duckies all rolled in to one.

As some of you know Spesch Stamps had our Winter release yesterday and these two cuties were part of that release along with Samantha. I love being my own boss and owner of a stamp company because as I get all the new stamps in I get to play with most of them straight away. So I actually made these months ago. LOL. I am so impatient. I can't help myself. Hence this is why I have been a little quiet of late. Hope you like the stamps.
